Invite people to a shared album

How shared / invited albums work for collaboration — and how they differ from Encrypted / Locked private storage.

What it is

Shared albums let you collaborate with people you invite (for example personal shared albums or team contributors). That is different from Encrypted / Locked album private storage, which turns sharing off. Use shared albums for collaboration; use encryption for solo private storage.

Why it helps

Keep family or team contributions in one album without mixing that workflow with maximum-privacy encrypted vaults.

How to use it

  1. 1

Open a non-encrypted album you own.

  2. 2

Use invite / share / contributors controls for that album (or personal shared albums where available).

  3. 3

Invitees open the shared album from their account’s shared section.

  4. 4

If encryption is on, sharing stays blocked — Remove encryption… first if collaboration is the goal (and content is allowed to be shared).
