Vault content privacy

What the private vault is for vs public pages and shares: private storage rules, mainstream public content, and when sharing or monetization is blocked.

Vault content privacy

FWDLink’s vault tools (App Lock, Require unlock to open, and Encrypted / Locked album) are for private storage on your account. Public pages, share links, and paid access follow mainstream content rules — sexually explicit public or monetized content is not allowed platform-wide.

Private vault vs public surfaces

Surface Intended use Content expectation
Vault / encrypted albums Personal at-rest private storage Private storage only while encrypted; sharing and monetization are blocked
Require unlock to open (no encryption) PIN gate inside the app Share links still use their own password or access rules
Public pages, open shares, paid access Distribution to others Mainstream / allowed public content only

What’s allowed in the vault

  • Use Album lock and optional encryption to keep personal albums private on your device and account.
  • Encrypted / Locked albums are private storage only. You cannot share or monetize that album while encryption is on.
  • Private storage is not a license to sell or openly distribute prohibited explicit material through FWDLink.

What’s allowed on public / shared surfaces

  • Pages, libraries, memberships, messages, and promotions that use the Platform must follow Acceptable Use — including the ban on sexually explicit public or monetized content.
  • Swimwear, fitness, and similar non-explicit imagery is generally treated as ordinary content, but may be held for review when ambiguous.
  • After you Remove encryption…, normal moderation can apply before any open share. Explicit public or paid distribution remains prohibited.

Example

You encrypt a personal document album for backup. You do not turn on share links or monetization for that album. For your public business page, you only publish content suitable for mainstream public distribution.

Practical checklist

  1. Store sensitive personal albums with Album lock / encryption for private storage only.
  2. Do not try to share or monetize encrypted albums — remove encryption only if you intend to distribute under platform rules.
  3. For public pages, shares, and paid access, keep content suitable for mainstream public distribution.
  4. Read Acceptable Use and Content Safety for the full policy text.

Troubleshooting

I can’t share or monetize this album
If the album is Encrypted / Locked, that is expected (private storage only). Unlock and use Remove encryption… only if you plan to distribute under platform rules.

Require unlock is on but I can still create a share link
Expected. Require unlock protects viewing inside the app. Encryption is what blocks sharing and monetization. Share links still need their own password or access rules — and public/monetized content must stay within Acceptable Use.
