Looking for work on Local Jobs
When you need work nearby, Local Jobs gives you a few simple paths: browse open jobs, post that you’re available, or show up as Available for hire on your Page. A living Page with photos and a clear headline usually beats a paper resume for same-week work.
Ways to get found
| Path | Best when |
|---|---|
| Browse Jobs / Help Wanted | You want to reply to hirers this week |
| Looking for work / resumes | You want a marketplace post hirers can open |
| Available for hire | You want an ongoing presence on Jobs in your city |
| Create a free Page | You’re new and need a place for messages and contact |
Create a free Page
- Go to Sign up and create your FWDLink Page.
- Add a photo, short bio, and contact options you’re comfortable sharing.
- Set your city under Local / Page settings so neighbors can find you.
Your Page is your home base for messages — listings alone don’t replace it.
Post that you’re available
- Open Local for your city → Post, with category Jobs.
- Choose a looking-for-work / resumes style option when the form offers it (or write a clear “looking for work” title).
- Say what you can do, when you’re free, and your city or neighborhood.
- Publish. Hirers browsing Jobs or Help Wanted can open your post and message you.
Available for hire (ongoing)
For an ongoing “hire me” signal without a one-off post, turn on Available for hire in Page settings. You can use a post and the Page setting together.
